The Apple Tree Farm Shop in Yeovil gets thumbs up for honest and accurate labellingCategory: General BlogsPosted by GardensGroup on 18 February 2010 at 18:59
Cath Stuteley, manager of The Apple Tree Farm Shop at Brimsmore Gardens in Yeovil, was thrilled when a visitor to the Farm Shop turned out to be checking the labels for accuracy – the Farm Shop passed the inspection which is undertaken by the RPA (Rural Payments Agency). “The RPA representative visited us at the busiest time of year for the Farm Shop, just before Christmas and I was pleased to know that we passed the inspection. This is all part of the marketing standards for fresh produce and we have to state on each label where the produce was grown and what class the produce is. We deal with so many growers and producers that this is quite a task so I was delighted and very relieved that we passed the unannounced inspection!” said Cath.
