On Thursday 10 May, Lesley Waters, TV chef and owner of Lesley Waters Cookery School in Halstock, will hold two cookery demonstrations at Poundbury Gardens near Dorchester, Dorset. Inspired by seasonal and local produce, Lesley will create three courses during both two-hour long sessions, which seasoned cooks and beginners alike will be able to sample on the day and replicate at home with the recipes provided.
Lesley will use equipment from Owen & Simpson Cookshop and products from Olives Et Al’s The Potting Shed, both located at Poundbury Gardens, as she creates dishes including a smoked trout bruschetta with orange and dill relish and a chicken saltimbocca with a Marsala glaze served with an artichoke and black lentil salad. To finish, a rhubarb, almond and orange pudding cake will be baked, served with salted coconut and lime custard.
The pop-up cookery demos will take place at the event space on the first floor of the garden centre, located just off Queen Mother Square in Poundbury, from 10:30am – 12:30pm and then 2:30pm – 4:30pm. Tickets cost £30 per person and are available online at www.lesleywaters.com.
